Chris Lightcap is a bassist and composer with over 80 album credits and six critically acclaimed albums of original music.  Chris is known for his work with Marc Ribot, Regina Carter, Craig Taborn, and many other noted artists, and his 2019 album SuperBigmouth was listed by Rolling Stone in their Best Jazz of 2019 article.

We dig into Chris’ early years, his circuitous path through the music world, his appearance on the burning ambulance podcast, and much more.

689: Dmitry Gorodetsky on reinventing himself

We’re featuring Dmitry Gorodetsky on today’s podcast.  Dmitry has been on the road constantly since moving to LA a little over 4 years ago, working with Charlie Puth and many other artists.

Recently, his work has shifted more toward studio work, and he has been transforming himself into an artist working on dates for film, commercials, TV, and the like.  He has been splitting his time between the electric and upright, working on projects with Kanye West, Dionne Warwick, recording for the Grammys, and many other artists.
